# Etherly Assistant

> The built-in AI assistant that answers setup and performance questions, navigates the app, and saves your conversation history.

# Etherly Assistant

The **Etherly Assistant** is the built-in AI assistant in Etherly Sync. Click the button in the bottom-right corner of any page to open it (press Escape to close).

## What it can do

* Answer questions about how the app works, VAT rules, myDATA, and the climate resilience fee
* Identify missing configuration and guide you through setup step by step
* Assign organisations, VAT rates, and climate fee rates to properties on your behalf (after confirmation)
* Check sync status — worker health, last sync time, stuck or failed jobs
* Look up a booking by guest name or ID and explain why a document was not issued
* Navigate directly to the relevant settings page when action is needed
* Answer performance and analytics questions about your properties — revenue, occupancy, ADR/RevPAR, channel profitability, seasonality, cleaning/operational backlog, and comparisons against the local market and competitors
* When a performance question has no data to show yet, explain why instead of just saying "no bookings" — for example, when a booking channel's first sync is still pending
* Explain short-term rental industry terminology — PMS, Channel Manager, RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy Rate, and more
* Offer to connect you with the support team and log your request, if it looks like you need extra help

## What it cannot do

* Issue, cancel, or resend invoices or receipts directly — document issuance is automatic once a booking is ready
* Show guest email, phone, or other personal details — only name, property, dates, and status

## Conversation history

Every conversation is saved automatically. Click the **clock icon** in the top-right corner of the panel to browse past conversations grouped by date. Click any conversation to resume it.

To start a new conversation, use the **reset button** in the header or the **New Chat** button in the history view.

## Security and privacy

Each user sees only their own conversations — even when multiple users share the same account.
